MEETING SCHEDULE FOR NOVEMBER!
Tuesday, November 4th, 12:00 Noon – Board Meeting
This is the regularly scheduled
meeting of the board of directors. The meeting is held in Alexanders on the lower level of the Wisconsin
Club. Ameet Kamath will send out an agenda for the meeting to all board members
prior to the meeting. All members are welcome to attend the meeting. Please
call Ameet at 414-278-7744 if you are planning on attending, as the Wisconsin Club requires an accurate count.
The club has again participated
in the Annual Flag Retirement project. American flags, tattered and worn, have been delivered to North
Shore Bank branches between October 1st and October 31st. The flags were collected
by the bank and will be ceremoniously retired on this date. We are working with the Boy Scouts and the
American Legion as we have in the past.
The retirement
ceremony will take place at the American Legion Club located at 124th and Burleigh. You will
want to get there about 5:45 to enjoy the entire
ceremony. President Shari Bryan will represent the club. Please join
us for this important club event.
We will be going to have dinner together at the
Steak & Shake across the road from the American Legion Club. Hope you can join us.
Tuesday, November 18th
– Noon – Meeting with Speaker
Cindy Krahenbuhl of The Guest House will be our speaker
for this meeting. Established in 1982 by area churches, The Guest House was
a drop in center. From those humble beginnings, a sophisticated program of housing, education, AODA treatment and pre-employment
preparation was created. The Guest House currently provides shelter for 70 -80 adult men per evening. It is the largest
publicly funded emergency shelter in Milwaukee. The Guest House of Milwaukee Inc., is a not for profit organization. We are a 501 (c) (3) corporation
and all donations are tax deductible. Come join us to hear “ the rest of the story”.
Tuesday,
November 25th – 7:30 AM – One Nation Under God Breakfast
We are working
on a speaker for our event. We will also be inviting our compatriots at the other two Milwaukee Exchange
Clubs. More to come! Be sure you put this on your calendar.
